Hello World.
From Left to Right: Cat, Victor, Mara.
Description: Victor doesn’t really have anything to do with our blog, but we had to use this photo because we feel it is a very accurate representation of the differences in our breast size.
Mission Statement: Cat and Mara Make Food is a blog about two girls in their LA kitchen making things.
Now, you might be saying to yourself, “Great another food blog. Shouldn’t your first post be about food?” Well, no, asshole, it shouldn’t be. The first post should be about us and what we hope to achieve by starting a blog in the first place.
And what do we hope to achieve?
1. Fame
2. Fortune
3. Our own cooking series
4. A cookbook deal
5. A cheap distraction from our quarter life crisis.
6. Enough money to open our own pickle store one day, which we would call LA Preserved or Preserved LA.  And both of those names are trademarked, so don’t get any ideas.
So, I think that gives you all a lukewarm idea of where we are coming from. And also that I will occasionally end a sentence with a preposition.
Happy New Year, friends. It’ll all be over soon, but we will be there to cook you through it.
